That is the reason why Joplin offers so many cloud services, because you need a central location for the sync folder (I use Dropbox but the closest to completely self hosting would be something like NextCloud). It’s definitely not possible to import the sync folder using JEX or any other means - it would lead to no end of problems. ![]() Joplin uses two locations on all its apps: the sync location (which is a location that should be accessible by all clients and should never be touched by human hands) and the location where the notes are stored (your working folder). I’m new to Joplin myself, so my information may not be entirely correct - but you can’t sync in the way you picture it. Hopefully, the issue is obvious to one of the more experimented used, I’ll appreciate any help. Second question: How do I setup a flow to share notes between several machines using the “file system” sync, not OneDrive nor Nexcloud nor the orther cloud options that are build-in? Install Joplin on my tablet and my PC, synchronize each of the app to a local JEX file and then find a way to keep both JEX files synced remotely (by copying, or using one of the zillion methods there are to keep a file in sync between several machines). lock/.ressource/.sync directories and their content exactly as they are on the Android directory, I get the same error when trying to import. ![]() Using Joplin portable v1.0.175, I tried to import the notes using the “Import > RAW Joplin Directory” by then I get an error : SQLITE_CONSTRAINT: NOT NULL. md files to a local directory (the hidden “dot” directories are not exposed by Android and cannot be copied, even when Windows is configured to show hidden directories). Side-note: those files are not Mardown files, as the name implies, more like a mix of YAML and JSON, and are not made to be modified by the user “.md” files are supposed to be human-editable text files with a markdown syntax, so that choice of extension is confusing.įirst question: there seems to be a JEX file format that Joplin can work with, how can I sync my note to a Jex file on Android? Having a single file instead of a directory structure would be more convenient for reasons I’ll describe below.īy connecting my tablet to my PC (running Windows 7) via USB, I can access and copy the. When I synchronize, two “.md” files are created in this directory, and also 3 directories with a name starting with a dot. I have setup synchronization targeting the file system, with a path of /storage/emulated/0/Documents/Joplin ( side-note: I had to find the path using another app, the configuration field provide no help, having the equivalent of a “file picker” would be more user-friendly). I have deleted the notebook and notes that are created by default. I have a single notebook, containing a single note (text only). My Android 8.1 tablet has Joplin 1.0.312 installed on it. Once installed, search for and launch Conky Manager app from the activities overview screen (or from start menu depends on your DE).I’m new to Joplin and tried to put a simple setup in place: taking notes on a Android tablet and a Windows PC and having notes kept in sync between the two machines… but totally failed. When the app opens, choose a widget or theme will show the preview in the bottom. Click on the ‘ triangle ‘ icon will start the selected widget or theme.Ĭonky widget may not well displayed by default. ![]() Users may also click on the ‘ pencil ‘ icon to edit widget in config file.īy clicking on the ‘ spanner ‘ icon will open the widget settings, allows to change its position, transparent, size and more. When file opens, use own_window_type desktop to remove window header bar and border if any. ![]() The configuration parameters can be foud here: Conky-settings Manual adaptation of Conky can be done by editing the config file ~/.concyrc And set both own_window_argb_visual yes and own_window_argb_value 0 to enable transparent background. Now every time you run conky, it will source config from conkyrc instead of the default nf file.Ĭonkyrc file in ~/ using the following command, The config file by default is /etc/conky/nf To run conky from a custom config file, you can use the -c flag shown belowĮvery conky config file has two parts. The first part controls how conky acts, i.e. how often it updates, alignment, colors, gaps, borders, etc. The second part starts after the line that says TEXT and it controls the actual content that is rendered on the screen i.e time, CPU temperature, kernel version, weather. EA also had developers walk the courses in person and speak with course superintendents. "Using these technologies, which are actually designed to discover underground gold mines and oil reserves, we achieved pin-point accuracy down to the blade of grass for many courses in-game," EA said.ĮA also mapped each course's clubhouses, vegetation, bridges, tee markers, water, and other course elements to represent them as faithfully as possible. EA also collected data from low-altitude helicopter flyovers of the courses, using LiDAR. Some courses got special attention, including Augusta National, which was mapped by photogrammetry scanning, drones, and GPS. In a blog post, EA said every course in the game was crafted with "stunning quality" through the Frostbite engine. In the last two weeks I found myself playing different lists with all the variations (0 to 4 Careful studies, 0 to 4 Pimps, 0 to 4 Street Wraiths) and I get similar (good) results in the end. I'm currently in a situation where I can't decide what is wrong and what is right. I like Firestorm, but I don't side it in very often, just for the matchups where it offers a large swing. Landing more than 1 land isn't consistent, especially when you consider that cards like Thalia & Wasteland exist. I don't like CF, 2 mana + CF in the grave for only a -2/-2 is too conditional for me. I've used it plenty of times after I bring back Icky's the first time - Firestorm is a board wipe, I lose my bridges, but we still get zombies. (Example) Elves & Infect often depend on certain cards to go stupid, so a well timed Firestorm is where I aim to be on t2 or 3. I'm just not often using Firestorm to kill more than one creature, so I'm a little lost.I use Firestorm depending on game state. Just trying to get a better feel for the strengths and weaknesses we are building on. Would you agree that Firestorm is better for clearing multiple creatures, but Crippling Fatigue is better for killing individual problem creatures (such as containment priest)? Is it down to metagame, or is Firestorm just miles ahead overall such that it's just wrong to be going with CF over Firestorm? Don't get me wrong: I'm using 4x Firestorm. I am probably too aggressive and not patient enough in sideboard games. So, you are not using LEDs or Breakthroughs until later so you can keep Firestorm in hand and clear the elves? Huh. Yeah, it would definitely be a swap with Firestorm as the removal option. Was your Firestorm countered? Whatever, you already threw in the bin dredgers and stuff. I don't like this kind of approach towards the deck makes more sense playing Manaless (together with the blue Shoal, since pitched to Narco stops RiP / Priest and pitched to GP stops Cage / Relic / DRS). " We need it right away, we need to be able to pay for it, and it has to be the right kind of to actually do anything". Your statement on Firestorm applies to Force of Will too. (It also gets mileage out of my pesky Narcomoebas, which really, really want me to hold them-much to my dismay.) ![]() The window for it is narrower than for the other cards, but we don't have to throw mana at it, and it stops everything but Leyline. This is almost certainly a product of confirmation bias, but I've been happiest just bringing in Force of Will for LED. We need it right away, we need to be able to pay for it, and it has to be the right kind of removal to actually do anything. My opinion might not be too popular, but I don't much like Firestorm or other removal generally. ![]() 480p vs 1080p with new textures on top of it. The video comparisons of Prime shows the difference good, but the difference is even bigger if you ran it on 2 TV's at the same place. I heard Skyward Sword sales were bad, and could be why they dropped the price on Metroid. There is years of work behind Metroid Prime, while a few months at best on Skyward Sword. Skyward Sword price vs Metroid Prime doesn't make sense. Many expensive games failed on sales in general. It were different times back then and the mega budgets on AAA games today made companies looking more at the costs. ![]() Retro has also been regularly recruiting. In the past few years, some of the same developers have left the studio. While it's unclear how long this port has been in development, a number of developers credited in the remaster apparently started work at the studio in early 2019, just after the announcement Retro would be taking over the development of Metroid Prime 4. The American-based studio has also been heavily involved with the Xbox version of Killer Instinct.Īpart from Iron Galaxy, the remaster's credits list a number of support studios: Airship Images Limited, Atomhawk Design, CGBot, Gamesim Inc, Liquid Development, Original Force LTD, Shanghai Mineloader Digital Technology, and Zombot Studio. The credits of Metroid Prime Remastered reveal Retro Studios was assisted by Iron Galaxy - the same developer behind a number of other Switch ports such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Diablo III and Overwatch. I left the arena with 200 health left.If you were wondering how Nintendo was able to release a remaster of Metroid Prime while the fourth major entry is still in development, it turns out it was a team effort. This method may take a little longer than the "proper" way, but you'll save tons of health. Strafe out to shoot at him, and hide next to the beam when he starts rolling. Stay between the wall and the beam, staying closer to the metal beam. You'll see that next to the wall of snow there is a metal beam. Go toward the platform to the right of where you came in. Having trouble fighting Thardus? There is a section where you can hide from his rolling. ![]() Okay, perhaps it's not the most exciting thing in the world, but cool nevertheless.īoss Exploits Preserve Health Fighting Thardus Want to see what the heroine of Metroid Prime does when she's not hunting Metroids and Space Pirates? Don't touch your controller for a few seconds and Samus will start to relax her posture slightly, then opens a flap on her Power Blaster and fiddles with the controls. This can save you a timed bomb (it gets you to the same height as a bomb jump) in some of the puzzles and is nice for fast Morph Ball traversal as well. The Wii version of Metroid Prime added a motion/gesture-based Morph Ball jump that is included in the Switch version. Make sure you have the Power Beam equipped as other beams don't fire as fast! This is an essential strategy for beating Meta Ridley on Hard. In essence, this means mashing both buttons quickly. You can fire missiles at a much faster rate than allowed by alternating firing them and Power Beam shots.
